We remember one time, Father, when Jesus here on
earth, the Syrophenician woman come to Him and
said, "Lord, be merciful unto my daughter,
because she's variously vexed with devil." And
we hear what He said, "It's not meet for Me to
take the children's bread and give it to the
dogs." Oh, God, seemingly what a flat refusal,
and not only that, but to call her a dog. But
instead of being arrogant about it, very sweetly
and humbly she said, "That is true, Lord."
Because it was truth.
